These two
children may not look like each other, but they share a unique bond. Although
many might not believe it at first, they are both twins, and despite their
differences, their connection seems to be really charming.
Max Diaris loves unique stories and believes that diversity makes people even more
special.
There is
a one in 500 chance of giving birth to twins with different skin colors
Although the
odds of having twins with different colored skin, eyes, and hair are truly
slim, it is not impossible. Despite that, seeing your babies for the first time
with different skin colors must be shocking.
When Judith
Nwokocha (her mother) gave birth in 2016, she said she was very surprised:
"I remember thinking that the nurse had given me the wrong baby,
hahaha." Well, no one could blame her for thinking that.
Kachi has
a strange case of albinism
Kachi has Oculocutaneous albinism (OCA) type 2, an inherited condition in which people do not produce enough melanin (pigment), which affects their appearance, mainly the eyes, skin, and hair.
One in four
children has the possibility of being affected by this when both parents carry
the albinism gene.
Although she has albinism, Kachi is perfectly healthy
Despite her
albinism, apart from her skin being more sensitive to the Sun and having to
wear glasses because she suffers from slight vision problems, Kachi is
perfectly healthy.
Hailing
from Nigeria, Judith works as a
photographer in Canada and often takes many pictures of the everyday adventures
of Kamsi and Kachi.
Kachi and
Kamsi are becoming best friends
It is normal
to assume that people find it hard to believe that Kachi and Kamsi are twins.
But although Kachi causes people to turn around on the street, Judith does not
allow that to discourage her. Actually, one of the reasons he takes so many
photos of his children is because he wants to show his girl how beautiful she
is.
Judith
publicly talks about how blessed it is to have these two wonderful children and
assures that, although they both look very different, they are very similar in
many ways, and their bond grows stronger every day.
The story of
Kachi and Kamsi is a true reflection of what makes you different makes you
unique. The twins are now four years old, and their connection grows more and
more.
What did you
think of the story of these adorable children? Do you agree that it is our
differences that make us special?
